Telling Stories about Terry

The Victorian Discworld Klatch hereby issues residents of Victoria a personal invitation to the Storyteller Festival at Carnegie Library, Shepparson Avenue, Carnegie. We're happily letting the Glen Eira Council run most of their event and are only commandeering a small part.

Please join us on 28th June from 11am to 4pm for a day of fun and frolicsome events. We have games, Martin Pearson, a dedicated pack of Cripple Mr Onion and some video which almost certainly contains some Snowgum Films goodness for your enjoyment.

Wear your costumes if you choose, but if you choose not ...

Bring your family to Hogswatch in July - 25th July from 10am to 4pm at Hardgrave Park, Petrie Terrace, Brisbane.


Enjoy the cultural entertainments, sample the local cuisine and partake in authentic Discworldian activities.

There will be a market, a petting zoo, free kids crafts,  a bake sale, Morris Dancers, C.M.O.T. purveyor of fine meats (also known as a sausage sizzle), assassins for hire (don't worry, all approved by the Assassins' Guild), competitions for all ages, a games tent, cosplay, baking and costume competitions, food and coffee vendors and if that wasn't enough ...

Help Make The Australian Discworld Convention Happen

As you may have heard, Nullus Anxietas VI - The Australian Discworld Convention - will be held in Adelaide, August 4-6, 2017 with the theme of The Discworld Grand Tour

However, we need your help to make it happen! Discworld conventions are run purely by volunteers and although it may be more than two years away, right now is when we need some dedicated people to join the committee! There are many positions vacant, so see if there's something that's up your alley.

Vale Sir Terry

It is with great sadness that we hear today (Friday 13 March) of Sir Terry's passing. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends, and all who knew and loved him.

In April, we will come together to celebrate the work, the wit, the life, of this wonderful man. We will share memories and laughter and we will raise many a glass in his honour.
