Our charity auction has been a regular event at Australian Discworld Conventions since the first one in Melbourne in 2007.
The International Discworld Convention has been holding successful charity auctions at their conventions since they began, so why not copy a good idea?
It normally happens on the last day of the convention, with viewing of the lots during the day, and the auction in the afternoon before the closing ceremony.
There will be a variety of lots so that hopefully there is something to suit everyone and most budgets. See below for an overview of some of the items that will be available in the auction.
The priority of the Aboriginal Literacy Foundation is to provide ongoing literacy programs and opportunities for Indigenous young people through education and community based initiatives such as the Books for Learning Program, Literacy & Heritage Camps, Literacy Resource Packs and Support Services, Literacy Tutoring and Testing, Research, and Evaluation.
The Australian Discworld Convention is very proud to support the endeavours of The Aboriginal Literacy Foundation.

We represent the 436,366 Australians living with dementia and the almost 1.5 million Australians involved in their care.
We advocate for the needs of people living with all types of dementia, and for their families and carers, and provide support services, education and information.
Dementia Australia is a member of Alzheimer's Disease International, the umbrella organisation of Dementia and Alzheimer's Associations around the world.
This is only a small part of what they do. Why not visit their website for more details - https://www.dementia.org.au.
Cash is always good.
EFTPOS will be available for credit and debit card payments.
In fact we will take almost any form of payment with the exception of barter, selling your children into slavery and, of course, personal cheques.
This list is just an excerpt of the many items that will be available at our Charity Auction.
In line with the Charity Auction in 2017 we are capping our auction items at 100. People have been incredibly generous with their donations to date and we had to close donations early in 2019. If you have something incredibly special you would like to donate please contact us for a discussion.
