What’s the deal with food? We leave when we get hungry, go elsewhere to eat, then return to the con? Or will there be lunch-type foodstuffs available at the con somewhere?

There will be food available to buy from the Crest in the convention area. I’ll reply to this post a bit later when I’m not flat out from work with times of when food can be purchased (from the con bar… from other places, there is, of course, no time limits)

I don’t have prices with me just at the moment… the food won’t be cheap – this is a hotel, after all. But finding cheap, decent food anywhere nearby will not be easy – Fitzroy St and Chapel St are the two nearest eating areas (I think), and both aren’t cheap.
When I get home, hopefully I’ll remember to post some example prices

Abee – you could stock up on cheap ready-to-eats at a supermarket before arriving (eg Museli bars, Fruit) just to keep you going :) Then food purchases will be limited to when you really really really need something more substantial.
