So *will* there be an NA2?

I’ve was chatting on AFP and innocently asked if anyone was going to NA2, when I was asked if it was actually going ahead…

To which my response was ‘Er, good point. I think it is…’ or something along those lines. Is anything set in stone yet?

Just wondering as some of us need to start planning things!

If any committee members could give us a clue, t’would be greatly appreciated, even if it’s only a “We’re not sure yet.”

I can offer a bit more than “We’re not sure yet” – it’s quite likely it will, we’re just trying to iron out a couple of details before making the proper announcement, and that’s involved some people outside the committee, which slows things down a little – and Christmas/New Years/holidays hasn’t helped.

But we’re hoping to have a proper announcement for everyone soon.

Er yeah… that was my response on AFP… because I am not sure.

Will something happen this year? Or perhaps holding something next year might give us a little more planning time?

All I know is I’ve done a lot of planning already for 2008 and if NA2 clashes with something I already have on my calendar, I’m unlikely to be able to attend, which would suck :(

I’d be happy if dates for NA2 could be announced, even if nothing else is available yet.

It’s pretty damn likely something will happen – and it’s looking like Feb 09, two years after the first – mainly to avoid some event clashes here in Melbourne, but it should also suit uni students better.

I’d like to get details a bit more finalised before making an official announcement (and I’m on holiday in NZ for another week), but it is very high on my list of priorities.

Woo. That’s all I need Pat :) Feb 09 is something I can vaguely plan to… I look forward to something more official in the next few months.

If it takes a ‘few months’ to get an official announcement out, then there’s a problem.

    That sounds great Pat.

Im still not sure if I’ll be there yet. Medical stuff and too many bills because of that. But, that date makes it a lot more likely.

Im sooo glad I was at the first convention it was definitely worth the trip.

It would be great if all the same people turn up again and some new faces too.

If you are as fun as at the last convention I am sure someone will shout you some M&M’s. ;)

We will all have to remember to bring M&M’s.

I had a thing for twisties at the first convention. Until the snack machine ran out.

It’s a good idea to take lots of spare food for when the snack bar is closed.
