    Hi folks,

Tania’s asked me if I’d like to run Terry’s Shorts again – so the floor is now open for volunteers :)
What is it? Just a session where you can do a 1-person reading/performance of one of Terry’s Short Stories.

In 2009, we had Sandy read “Hollywood Chickens”, Daniel did “Troll Bridge”, Nick read “Once and Future”, Chris did “FTB” and I did “Theatre of Cruelty” and “Turntables of the Night”

For 2011, I’m going to do a reading of “Final Reward”, but the session is open for 2 or 3 more people to read a short story of their choosing. If we have more than four people, it will probably be longer than an hour, which either means a long session or two sessions split in the program.

So if you’d like to read a story, let me know!

(Sue’s already volunteered, but we don’t have a story picked out just yet…)

Oh, and if you don’t know what stories are available, I have a copy of “Once More with Footnotes” and can probably find something suitable.
Online you can legitimately get the following (Google ’em!)

    • Theatre of Cruelty
    • Death and What Comes Next
    • A Collegiate Casting Out of Devilish Devices

Count me in to read any of them
I have my own copy of OM*WF 8-)
I would have volunteered for ‘Hollywood Chickens’ but if you don’t want it again (having had it last time) no worries
I see that no one’s volunteered to read “The Sea & Little Fishes” yet – is it too long for this?
    Chris

Just a thought, but Rob at Bucks Free Press has been publishing some of Terry’s very early work. You might find a few gems there- e.g. The Thrist Pin
And we also know that there will be one or two illustrated copies of the stories released soon. Watch this space!!

Good idea. Haven’t read any of them yet myself.

However, I know which stories I’m going to do (for this or for bedtime stories) – Final Reward and A Collegiate Casting out of Devilish Devices.

But if anyone else wants to check through the old articles and use one of those, that’d be great.

Ahh dammit Nick, I’ve been wanting to do that one. I’ve even been practicing funny voices.

Well to tell you the truth, I was going to do Collegiate for Bedtime Stories & Final Reward for Terry’s Shorts.

So I guess it’s all yours, Nick, and if Bedtime stories goes ahead (with volunteers reading instead of Terry/Rob) I can do the same story again :)

Bed Time Stories on Friday night will be read by Rob and Terry – well Rob mainly I believe. We have been promised some excepts from Snuff and possibly something from the Long Earth project.

Thanks for the clarification. Still trying to work out what story I’ll read for Terry’s Shorts. Might have to decide on the day, depending on time available :)
