I am curious as how many of us are from Qld and perhaps live in the SE corner.
Seeing as how Sydney having a preconvention gathering was wondering if perhaps if enough available and or interested we could do the same.

(Waves), I’d be interesed in Brisbane Meet-up, would be good to know someone before heading to Melbourne. Weekends are best for me (as I’ve got school-aged children). I’m going to be attending the Bris Arts Theatre “Night Watch” performance on the 28th Oct, if that helps.

Hello-oo, am taking a group of 11 Pratchet types to Arts Theatre’s Nightwatch on 4th. Am also attending DiscCon altho having trouble sourcing blue body paint so might not make it the Masquarade as a Nac Mac Feegle…

Try a good costume shop. I was flyering for the con with Grombek down here and the local costume shop had blue body paint for sale. =)
Noah’s Ark is a problem. We’ll have to call it early quantum-state phenomenon.
I think it’s sweet; Geelong having it’s own Sci-Fi Club

Erk – last post vanished into the ether. Try some Indian shops – particularly if there is a community which does theatre or dance somewhere nearby. Indian gods (particularly Krishna and occasionally Shiva) are portrayed as having blue skin.
