The goddess Anoia (aka Vanessa) was round for lunch on the weekend and we have decided we’re feeling left out.

We propose afternoon tea at the Hyatt. $35 for all you can eat savoury and sweet, tea, coffee or hot chocolate with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine. From 2:30 -5pm when they put the food away. We have stayed much later than that and they have never thrown us out.

Afternoon tea is served Saturdays and Sundays and places must be booked. We were thinking of 21 or 22 of 28 or 29 April. Please let me know which weekend suits you best.

Any one in Canberra or who will be in Canberra on those dates please let me know by 31 March. Afternoon tea is very popular and we’ll need to book well in advance.

    See you there!

Due to conflicting dates I was unable to attend conference:( waily waily waily. Still might be fun to meet people who were there and try high tea at the Hyatt at the same time. I can attend Sat 28th.

Sharon, I’m going to send an email to the announce list in the next day or two about the impending Melbourne meet – would you like me to mention the Canberra one as well? (ie. could cause hassles for the booking – but can the booking be changed?)

Pat, that would be good thank you. As long as I have final numbers of intending attenders by the 20th I can alter the booking.

I’d like to go! I joined as a supporting member only because I suspected that I couldn’t get to the convention in Melbourne. Unfortunately, I was right. But I’ll almost certainly be able to make the next convention! =)

I’d still like to meet up here in Canberra, though. What do I need to do, Sharon? Call the Hyatt and add myself to a list?

I will be there and possibly bringing my significant other (if we can get a sitter). What is the dress code?

No specific dress code that I am aware of: I have seen everything from over-the-top been to the races formal to jeans and tshirt.

    See you there!
