I have a feeling I might be at risk being just a bit too nerdy here, but there might be a duty to inform, so...
I hear there's an exhibition of first edition sf/f books in the Rare book library in the Fisher Library at Sydney University. It isn't all catalogued yet, but there I'm told there are some Pratchett books in there. It has stuff from some of the first conventions and that kind of thing.
Just thought that someone might be interested.

So can anyone go and look at these books or do you have to be a student or a member of the union or something?

Well you don't have to show a pass or anything, it's just a small room with glass cases in it, so no, I don't think you need to be an actual student or union member. You just won't get the discounted coffee ;)

How long does the exhibition last for? I wonder if we can get Usyd to part with the books for show at the convention...

To my knowledge they are still cataloguing a lot of it. I gather the number of books are in the thousands, so I think it's probably going to be a permenant exhibiton.
I'm pretty sure the library website is www.library.usyd.edu.au so they migth update information on there
