Which events have you enjoyed the most at previous conventions? Did you run or contribute to an event, and if so would you be willing to do so at NA3? Have you got any ideas for new events that haven’t made an appearance so far? The pre-committee already has a few ideas bubbling away and would love to have input from everyone who plans to attend.

Actually my favourite programme is Discworld Trivia.

I ran the DW vs HP session at the first conference. I could do a belated rematch or in the in acknowledgement of the fact that HP is so last year I could do a new rematch…
DW vs HHGTTG?
DW vs Twilight (those tweens have moved on from wizards to vampires. What scamps they are)
DW vs some other suggestion…PhD research info here

I’m right there with Deb Wossnames was unreal and am more than happy to do it. Will there be a return of the tooth-fairy I wonder?
Noah’s Ark is a problem. We’ll have to call it early quantum-state phenomenon.
I think it’s sweet; Geelong having it’s own Sci-Fi Club

I really enjoyed the debate so would like to see something like that again. Also i thought the significant quest was great fun and if the people that organised that are still working on it i would love to see the current shape of the game
Thanks

I really liked the trivia too :D
Wossnames was also hilarious.

And significant quest is also one of my favourite parts. We’re on a mission from Glod.

There’s enough short stories to have a second session of “Terry’s Shorts” without repeating any we had at NA2. Assuming anyone’s interested in seeing it, of course :)
Otherwise, using some of the short stories for Bedtime could be done too.
I enjoyed Martin’s performances, Trivia (yes, even hosting it…), Wossnames (although I don’t think I was nearly as creative/funny as some of the other panelists, i.e. Martin), and Significant Quest. Ooh, and Werewolf was great too :)
I’ll be going to the UK DW Con next year, so after next August I’m sure I’ll have plenty more ideas which we can steal,er,borrow.
You can’t kill me because I’ve got magic aarrghh!

The ephebian philosophy was great, would love to see that again. Signifigant quest was a favorite and B.S Johnsons inventions was a lot of fun and definitely something i want to see back at the next con

Can I say that werewolf was one of my favourite sessions, even though I ran it? ;)

It’s great to get all this feedback, so please keep it coming. I’ll be making a summary of it all for our next meeting on 16th October.
And Werewolf was one of my favourites too – do you want to run it again Pat?

I also liked the Harry Potter discussions. It may be still relevant as The Half Blood Prince is now in film medium and with luck we may even have part one of Deathly Hollows.

Granny, if I can make it to the Con, you won’t be able to stop me from running Werewolf ;)
