If Pat can’t make it I’ll be willing to run it but will need to
get a couple of the packs.

I could also do it… at least with the card variations Pat used last time (Hunter, Cupid, Seer). I took the version we had played at NA2 and made up cards for a “World Domination” themed event earlier this year, calling the game “Terrorist Hotline”, with Citizens, Terrorists (Werewolves), Wiretapper (Seer), Cupid and the Paranoid Redneck (Hunter). It was a lot of fun and everyone enjoyed it. Of course, after I’d already worked it out, I discovered that the game “Mafia” is pretty similar to Werewolf and I could have just used that instead as it fit better with the event’s theme…
Oh well. I’ve had some of the other cards (at least from Mafia) explained to me – Priest, Doctor – but they all seemed to be players that made the game last longer by keeping players alive. I like the variation cards like Cupid & the Hunter that kill of players more quickly because then it’s a good fast game, and you can move on to another game with different roles :)

Hi – does anyone know where I can get a set of the werewolf cards – or is it just a case of making our own?
And is there an “official” set of rules?Skull ring!

I think it’s a case of buy a different form of the game and modify it. I think.

This website is the official site of the card set that Pat has.
I presume you can probably get those cards from games stores in Australia, or you could attempt to order them from some online store :)
Otherwise, just make up your own cards – villagers, werewolves, seer, cupid, hunter. There are more cards with different rules, but I’ve not used them.
I did write up rules & cards for the “Terrorist Hotline” variation that I did, so if you want me to email those to you, send me an email :)

The deck I have aren’t the ‘official’ version, they’re just a particular version. I think it all started with pieces of paper with W and V written on them (which is how we did it at the very first Nullus Anxietas), based on the idea of Mafia.
I got my cards from Mind Games – they don’t have a store in Sydney, but you might be able to order via phone or net.

I used to play Mafia without cards – the people running it would choose. It was a very basic version though – just 2-3 mafia, one detective, and everyone else was a civilian.
