There will be a trivia session held at some stage during the convention.
How it runs and whether it will be competitive or not is yet to be decided, but it will be an extreme brain busting session!
Igors will be on standby with spare brains where needed.
As a warm up try:

Isn't he the Roundworld-ish equivalent of Twoflower who pops up in The lure of the Wyrmberg part of colour of magic? After Twoflower passes out and they're going to die from certain depth, there's a slight diversion into a congruent reality thingy for a bit where Mr Zweiblumen and Mr. Rijnswand (?) are on a plane.
Anyhoo, the book's still in a box somewhere ...

Exactly right, Ibid, no points for you... as there are no points for anybody as these are practice questions.
Next, if anybody's interested:
What is the name of the town Rincewind & co visit in The Light Fantastic?

This is slowly and surely driving me insane...
I can't find the name of the town, but I think it's the one close to the Smarl, (the longest river on the Disc). When Rincewind et al arrive there the villagers (Star people?) have become fanatic about ridding the Disc of magic, to appease the Star. I believe Death refers to the death of their minds. Possibly the town is near the Trollbone mountains (?) Or maybe it's a completely different town altogether.
ARRRGH!!!!!

[shame mode]
My mistake, having checked through the book I discovered the town is not named, I know the river is the Smarl, I thought the town was named Smarl as well. *Places Dunces hat upon head.
No points for everyone this time! Double no points for Carrie who came as close as possible for a question without an answer.
From now on I promise to be more smarter with my questions.

She's the eighth son of an eighth son, ergo, seven older brothers.

What kind of pet does the Patrician have in 'Mort'?

Hmm, a trick question, I think.
We all know about Wuffles, but what's mentioned in Mort is his champion racehorse.
Which of course leads to the whole "is this the same patrician, eating crystallised jellyfish and keeping a racehorse, as Lord Vetinari?" I don't think I'll go there right now.

Well spotted AlecL, the horse is worth no points or alternatively you could have answered the swamp dragon at his anniversary party, which is also worth no points. Answering both would have got you no points. Is this getting old yet?
What creature reportedly has the legs of a mermaid, hair of a tortoise and teeth of a fowl?
