Those of us who receive Wossname will have seen the lengthy interview with Terry from Anna M.C. at the recent MidSouthCon.
For those that haven’t, here’s a summary of some of the upcoming story news:
Nation
- In-progress
- A Young-Adult Novel
- ‘certainly not a Discworld book’ since there are elements that don’t fit into Discworld. eg: God, Christianity & gunpowder.
- A Captain shipwrecked on an island due to a tsunami sings For “Those in Peril on the Sea” (the hymn made famous by Titanic) and then “Those in Peril on Dry Land”
When I Grow Old I Shall Wear Midnight
- Terry is currently making notes for this as he writes Nation.
- Fourth Tifanny Aching novel
- Possibility of Eskarina Smith reappearing in this book (or if not a future novel)
Other Untitled Works
- There will probably be an Igorina in a future book, but not the same as from Monstrous Regiment
- A possible third Moist von Lipwig novel “Raising Taxes”
- Carrot’s feelings on his relationship wih Angua is too complacent, it may need to be shaken up a bit by a crisis
- Carrot is not likely to ever becoming King, because it would mean removing Vetinari and would result in radically changing the nature of Discworld
