Those of us who receive Wossname will have seen the lengthy interview with Terry from Anna M.C. at the recent MidSouthCon.
For those that haven’t, here’s a summary of some of the upcoming story news:

    Nation

    • In-progress
    • A Young-Adult Novel
    • ‘certainly not a Discworld book’ since there are elements that don’t fit into Discworld. eg: God, Christianity & gunpowder.
    • A Captain shipwrecked on an island due to a tsunami sings For “Those in Peril on the Sea” (the hymn made famous by Titanic) and then “Those in Peril on Dry Land”

When I Grow Old I Shall Wear Midnight

    • Terry is currently making notes for this as he writes Nation.
    • Fourth Tifanny Aching novel
    • Possibility of Eskarina Smith reappearing in this book (or if not a future novel)

    Other Untitled Works

    • There will probably be an Igorina in a future book, but not the same as from Monstrous Regiment
    • A possible third Moist von Lipwig novel “Raising Taxes”
    • Carrot’s feelings on his relationship wih Angua is too complacent, it may need to be shaken up a bit by a crisis
    • Carrot is not likely to ever becoming King, because it would mean removing Vetinari and would result in radically changing the nature of Discworld

    But where is “Making Money”?

Anyone know when it’s likely to be released?

Ankh-Morpork….had ended up with that form of democracy known as One Man, One Vote. The Patrician was the Man; he had the Vote.

Also coming later this year: Lu Tse’s Yearbook of Enlightenment 2008, The Wit and Wisdom of Discworld, and The Illustrated Wee Free Men.

Search at amazon.co.uk for the actual books, sorry I can’t provide the links for you! (got to get to work!)

wow, I hadn’t heard of WFM illustrated, that will be good, and one I don’t have yet (original that is).

I left Making Money, etc. off because there wasn’t any big new news about it just yet. I’ll try to find some bits and summarise all news so far.

Making Carrot king wouldn’t necessarily remove Vetinari. He could always be made prime minister.
But he doesn’t really want to be king anyway, i guess.

We’re on a mission from Glod.

Raising Taxes was mentioned at the con wasn’t it? Would love to see Moist handle AM’s chaotic financial ‘system’

StarShadow – last I heard, Unseen Academicals was mentioned a fair while ago, well before Making Money, Midnight, or Nation were being discussed publically…. My thoughts are that Terry hasn’t yet worked out how to turn the UU Soccer plot into a full novel yet, so he’s working on books that he knows how they go. Maybe we’ll see Unseen Academicals in future?
