The full website at www.colourofmagic.co.uk has the trailer, and more info and lots of other things too.
At last night’s premiere in London, it was announced (and then shown) that Jeremy Irons is playing the Patrician (in a Vetinari way…)

Well, having seen COM (ask me no questions!) I can say that it was very well done and I enjoyed it very much. I still think that David Jason is too old for Rincewind but he did do a very good job. Sean Astin plays a gormless tourist quite beautifully.

I definitely agree Sharon, COM was great. However the choice to cast Sean Astin in it was most regrettable since I can’t stand him and that for me detracted from the overall brilliance.
Noah’s Ark is a problem. We’ll have to call it early quantum-state phenomenon.
I think it’s sweet; Geelong having it’s own Sci-Fi Club

Watched it today… but have to say I was doing something else at the time, so I wasn’t paying it full attention.
Certainly LOOKS perfect, but I should probably watch again and pay more attention this time in order to give it a fair (yet more than likely critical) review. You can’t kill me because I’ve got magic aarrghh!

So I finally got around to watching this… and I wasn’t that thrilled. I really have my doubts of Terry’s writing being translated to screen – lacking everything that isn’t dialog. The humour of TCoM felt forced.
Also, was talking to a few people at the UK Con yesterday about the casting of David Jason – apparently he’s a massive Discworld fan and had attempted to buy the rights off Terry just so he could cast himself as Rincewind. Add in the various TV stations here all bidding to have David Jason in what they’re broadcasting, and it’s pretty clear why he got the role.

Troy Larkin is still Rincewind to me.
