Hey people – so who has it? ;p
Shall we compare prices for those looking for a bargain?

I got mine from Dymocks, but it’s kinda pricey there – $37.95
Was quite annoyed to find that Angus and Rob have it for $34.95 (i think), but i got the point on my card, so meh.

    Anywhere cheaper yet?

Borders had it for $32.95 with a free pen!

(I checked A&R and Dymocks as well… Dymocks Adelaide didn’t seem to have any copies, A&R was $34.95 as you said)

Gee… the Folklore of Discworld looks nice, but they want $55 for it… might wait for a bit until Borders has another 30% off voucher :)

I, err, got my copy in the UK. For a very cheap amount at Waterstones. And the book itself is fantastic :)

It was out on Monday, but I didn’t see it any shops on that day (yes, I checked) so I got it yesterday.

The pen is kinda cheapish – it has one of those “floaty” bits in it, of a tropical scene with a ship riding a tidal wave going across when you tip the pen. On the other side it says “Terry Pratchett – Nation” with a website: www.terrypratchettbooks.co.uk

Borders have now put up photos of the pen which means I don’t have to take photos of mine :)

It’s an interesting read, or at least what I have read of it is interesting. (I too got the free pen ;-)). Definately a book you have to think about while you read…

Also available, the illustrated Wee free men, $50 in Borders. And the Foklore of Discworld is $5 cheaper in Dymocks.

Also on the purchasing front – A&R have a sale on atm:
Discworld paperbacks 3 for the price of 2

Useful for anyone still building a collection anyway :)

And for those who want to start their collection from scratch, there’s a guy selling everything in one hit on eBay. Look at auction number 280273912103 and drool.

Well – finished “Nation”, and it is rather enjoyable, even if there aren’t that many laugh out loud jokes in it. Interesting themes of religion, gods, belief and patriotism, and some good stuff about science too. It will definitely be worth another read. And I love the very last part of the Author’s afterword. No, don’t spoil it by reading it now, wait until you’ve finished the book!
