Payment Methods

All payment methods require a manual step after you have registered, as summarised below.

If you wish to pay with a credit card, please use the Paypal option. Please note that a Paypal account is required.

Our preferred method is by direct bank transfer.

  1. By direct bank transfer. If you pick this option, our bank details will be included in the acknowledgement email.
  2. By Paypal. Login to your account, and select the option “Send Money” from the menu. The “Recipient’s Email” is RoundWorldEventsSA@gmail.com. Full instructions will be included in the acknowledgement email, as you should put your name and registration number in the Message box.
  3. By money order or cheque. The name of our account and the postal address will be included in the acknowledgement email.
  4. With all the above methods, please, please remember to include the verification code sent with the acknowledgement. It will look something like “Transfer Description: 1234567890123.” This makes our The Bursar very happy, and less likely to overdose on Dried Frog Pills!

Paying for multiple things at once

If you want to pay for more than one thing (membership, Gaudy Night ticket, Tours ticket, etc.) at once, please follow these steps:

  1. Complete the online registration forms for everything you want to buy – this can include multiple of each. For each one, you will receive a confirmation email with payment details.
  2. Make a single payment via your preferred method for the total amount. Include ALL verification codes if you can, otherwise, ensure you include at least one of your verification codes.
  3. Send an email to The Bursar with the following information:
    • The names and email address of all people being paid for
    • The verification codes for all tickets being paid for (membership, Gaudy Night, Tours, etc.)
    • The cost for each of these items
    • The total amount of your payment
    • The method by which you have paid, and the reference code you paid with.
  4. Once payment has been received and recorded, The Bursar will email you to let you know you’re fully paid up.

Upgrading

If you have purchased a Supporting Membership and wish to upgrade to a Full, Concession or Child membership (at the price based on the date you purchased your Supporting Membership), please do the following:

  1. Email the Lecturer in Recent Runes letting her know you wish to upgrade.
  2. Pay the difference between your membership types, using the same verification code and payment method.
    • e.g. If you purchased your Supporting Membership for $30 prior to 1st March 2012, upgrading to a Full Membership will be an extra $50, bringing the total to $80. You can do this even if you upgrade after 1st March 2012.
    • If you wish to use a different payment method, please mention this in your email.
  3. Once payment has been received by the Bursar we will change your membership from Supporting to Attending.

Changing any details

If you realise you have made a mistake or omission in in your registration – either for the Convention, Gaudy Night or Winery & Gourmet Tours – then please email the Lecturer in Recent Runes with the changes you wish to make.

This includes the following information:

So if you wish to modify any of these – please just email the Lecturer in Recent Runes and she’ll take care of it.

Footnotes:

1 Please note that a few events have a minimum age limit of 18.

2 To qualify for Concession and Children’s memberships, you must meet the requirements at the start of the convention. Please bring concession cards with you, as they will be checked upon registration.

3 Junior fans of Sir Terry Pratchett are most welcome at the convention. There will be some events aimed specifically at the younger members, and they are welcome to attend all others. But please note that parents/guardians are responsible for their children at the convention and ensuring their good behaviour.

4 Please ensure you keep us informed if the details of your dietary or other requirements change, as they will help you avoid annoyance and disappointment if your requirements aren’t met!
