Winery and Gourmet Tours
There’s nothing that Wizards like more than dining and whining. Explore the fabulous region of McLaren Vale for the greatest of vintages and the most succulent morsels of epicurean delights. Or just stuff your face and get sozzled.
The Winery and Gourmet Tours will take place on Monday, 9th July as an added extra to the convention. You can buy tickets via this link.
The Plan
For those who love wine, the Winery Tour will visit four wineries for some tastings. This tour is recommended to over 18s only.
For those who love food, the Gourmet Tour will visit several locations for some tastings of a different nature. Cheese, almonds, and chocolates are on the menu, plus a chance to see some local art galleries.
The tours will run from approximately 9am until 5pm on Monday 9th July, departing from a central city location (To be advised). Both tour groups will meet up at lunch time.
Please send questions to the Reader in Woolly Thinking.
Prices
A ticket on either the Winery or Gourmet Tour will cost $50.00. Tickets are strictly limited – after all, once the buses are full, there’s nothing more we can do!
Payment is available via the payment options listed here.
Please note that the tours ticket price does not include lunch. Both groups will meet up at lunch time (location to be confirmed). We would suggest budgeting approximately $20 for lunch.
Tickets to the Winery and Gourmet Tours are ONLY available to those who have purchased a membership to the Convivium. This includes supporting and day pass memberships.
Closing Date
Please note that Winery and Gourmet Tours tickets are only available to purchase online until 22 June 2012. If there are any seats free on the buses after this date, we will be trying to sell them at the Convivium! However, we fully expect all tickets to be sold well in advance.
If you have purchased a ticket but can not make it, we can refund you all but $10 of the cost of the ticket. You must ask for a refund prior to 22 June 2012. Refunds are not available after this date, although we would still appreciate being informed that you can no longer make it.
