The Australian Discworld Convention is a 3-day event run by fans for fans of author Sir Terry Pratchett, famous for his humorous fantasy books - especially the Discworld series. The convention includes panels, special guests, workshops, creative events, costumes and a Gala Dinner, all focused on Terry Pratchett's works.
Our next convention is:
Step through the portal to the fantasy realm of Sydney and the year 2026 for the tenth Australian Discworld Convention.
All the witches have their own story and like all good stories... there's a twist!
Want to be involved but not sure how? Become a witch in training. Learn to be as nosey as Nanny, as confident as Perdita X and, to just do the job in front of you, like Tiffany.
Come along to a very special event celebrating Discworld - for Hogswatch in July!
On July 12, 2025, at the Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport Hotel, come along for a night of food, drink, and entertainment all for $60!
Find out more and buy tickets here.
The convention is a chance to meet other fans of Sir Terry Pratchett, have fun and share the humour of the books. You might like to dress up as a favourite character - many attendees do, but it is not compulsory.
We aim to pack a lot of fun into 3 days, running multiple events simultaneously and finishing late in the evening on Friday and Saturday.
The conventions are run by fans and while not-for-profit, money is raised for a chosen charity via the auction. Like Terry's books, the conventions are family-friendly.

Greetings from the desk of Miss Perspicacia Tick.
Whether you're sipping scumble1 in Lancre, dodging assassins in Ankh-Morpork, or just trying not to fall off the edge of the world, welcome to another issue of Broomsticks and Cauldrons2
This modest missive of magic, mischief, and mildly alarming metaphysics is for witches of all stages (from full coven to solitary kettle-simmerers) and anyone else willing to cross into the realm of practical wisdom, magical oddments, updates from the wild broom-paths, and happy for a dash of advice you didn't ask for, but very likely need.
So, …
