A Quickie: Short and to the point

Like Giamo Casanunda1, this version of Broomsticks and Cauldrons will get down, quite low, into the nitty gritty. Time's a-wasting; it's that time of year; Nullus Anxietas X draws near. Brooms ready, schedules marked, and no faffing about: here's what you need to know, and nothing you don't.

From the desk of Miss Tick, this mini version of Brooms and Cauldrons brings you:

  • Early Bird membership upgrade ends January 31
  • Tour "The Shades" of Sydney - Tickets available now!
  • Gala Dinner Tickets
  • Convention Bags contain Important Stuff

Early Bird membership upgrade ends January 31

Once the Early Bird has flown the coop, it's done and dusted. Then you'll be paying full price and telling everyone you nearly bought it when it was a bargain, which is frankly worse than not buying it at all.

If you bought your supporting membership before August 9, 2025, upgrade your supporting membership here. Final day January 31, 2026.

All other membership tickets and upgrades can be found here.

Convention Bags contain Important Stuff

A convention attendee reading the Convention Book with their Convention Bag sitting by their feet.

The first thing you do when you arrive at the Australian Discworld Convention: report to the registration desk, open from 12 noon Friday, for your Membership badge and Convention Bag.

The second thing you do: Place the membership lanyard around your neck (keep it there) and look in your Convention Bag (Con Bag).

Besides our special Convention Book, your Con Bag contains many important things, including:

  • Merchandise, Gala Dinner tickets and Tour tickets - if you purchased them.
  • Convention Schedule of Events and Activities and a map. These can be folded and inserted in the back of your membership badge holder for quick reference. Details on the events can be found in the convention book.
  • Voting slips for the People's Choice of Best Costume.
  • Ballot tickets for Klatches, workshops and activities with limited seats.
  • Your Charity Auction paddle.
  • And much more.
