Hello there!
It's been a while, we know.
But while the cogs of industry are cranking behind the scenes to get several What Ducks in a row for the next Australian Discworld Convention, we thought we'd let you know about some other fan-related activities happening around our wide brown land. If any of the below take your interest, be sure to get along and take part, and otherwise, be sure to find your local fan club where there may be regular events happening!1
The day you knew was coming. The start of a Nullus Anxietas Writers' Group. Join us on Discord to spend time with fellow writers from the Australian Terry Pratchett fan community. We'll meet virtually once a month, and chat in between. We might even get an expert writer to come and talk to us on occasion. So if you're interested in writing (whether or not you are currently writing anything or not), come along and help make this new group successful.
It's October again, so it's time for the Disc-tober Art Challenge. This challenge, put together by our friends Jason and Rachel over at Better than a Poke in the Eye, is a list of prompts - one for every day in October - where you can use your creativity to draw, paint, collage, sew, construct, or just doodle in MS Paint to create a piece of artwork inspired by the prompt. Post it publicly to social media in the various Pratchett/Discworld groups - Nullus Anxietas Artificers is one such place - and use the hashtag #disctober and #disctober2026.

Moist Von Lipwig is a charismatic conman who is caught for his crimes and sentenced to death by hanging. And he is hanged, or so he thought. Redemption comes in the form of the new Post Master position at the run-down Ankh- Morpork post office. His efforts to restore it to its former glory days are helped (or hindered) by a number of quirky characters including: the ancient, the obsessed, the equally cunning, the undead, clay sentient beings and he even finds love along the way.
Adapted by Stephen Briggs, Directed by Frances Foo and Ben Kasper, Presented by Brisbane Arts Theatre.
Performances will be at Arcana, 46 Evesham St, Moorooka, Qld, 4105.
NOVEMBER 13-28, 2026, PERTH
Roleystone Theatre presents TWO Terry Pratchett adapted plays this November, with alternating performances!
Adapted for the stage by Stephen Briggs, Directed by Bradley Towton.
Performances will be at Roleystone Theatre, 587 Brookton Hwy, Roleystone, WA, 6111
Maskerade: All is not well in the Ankh-Morpork Opera House. A ghost stalks the dark corridors, leaving strange letters for the management and... killing people. Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg, two Lancre witches, investigate and are soon involved in all kinds of skulduggery, mayhem and ear-splittingly loud singing. Quirky and original characters, a labyrinthine plot and numerous witty one-liners make this a treat for both Discworld fans and 'uninitiated' theatregoers alike.
Feet of Clay: For Commander Vimes, Head of Ankh-Morpork City Watch, life consists of troubling times linked together by, well, more troubling times and right now, it's the latter! There's a werewolf with pre-lunar tension in the city, a dwarf with attitude and a golem who's begun to think for itself, but that's just ordinary trouble. The real problem is more puzzling - people are being murdered, but there's no trace of anything alive having been at the crime scene. So Vimes not only has to find out 'who'dunit, but 'how'dunit too. Trouble is, he's not even sure what they 'dun'!
